Tea doesn’t only need to be served hot in a teacup, there are many ways you can enjoy this fine drink during the hot summer months.
Dilmah Tea have created a range of cold tea recipes and I will share a few favourites with you today:
Oasis
Glass Sling
Ingredients
- 125ml chilled Dilmah Green tea with Moroccan mint (strong brew, 2.5 minutes)
- 25ml mango juice
- 10ml fr5esh lime juice
- 15ml Monin Rose
Method
- Fill glass with ice cubes
- Pour in the juices then the Monin Rose
- Fill the glass with the chilled tea
- Garnish with mango slices and a mint sprig
Green Wonder
Glass Short
Ingredients
- 125ml chilled Dilmah Green Tea with Lemongrass & Lemon
- Slices of cucumber
- 2 barspoons of cardamom sugar (muddle white sugar and cardamom and let it rest for 5 hours)
Method
- Dissolve the cardamom sugar in the fresh brewed tea and chill it
- Fill the glass with ice cubes and slices of cucumber and lime
- Gently pour the tea over the ice cubes in the glass
- Garnish with slices of lime, a slice of cucumber and a sprig of mint
Through the Grapevine
Glass Short
Ingredients
- 120ml chilled Dilmah Green Tea with Jasmine Petals (strong brew, 2.5 minutes)
- 40ml green grape juice
- 10ml elderflower syrup
- Zest of lemon
Method
- Add the first three ingredients to an ice-filled short glass and stir gently
- Garnish with a squeezed lemon zest and some green grapes
Royal Treatment
Glass Sling
Ingredients
- 125ml chilled Dilmah green tea with Jasmine petals
- 25ml cinnamon honey
- 40ml raspberry puree
Method
- Dissolve honey in fresh brewed tea and chill
- Spoon raspberry puree into glass and fill glass with ice cubes
- Pour the tea over the ice and garnish with fresh raspberries and a mint sprig
Sereni-tea
Glass Large wine glass
Ingredients
- 125ml chilled Dilmah green tea with lemongrass and lemon (strong brew, 2.5 minutes)
- 25ml lavender honey
- Lemon slices
- Grapefruit slices
Method
- Dissolve honey in fresh brewed tea and chill
- Fill glass with ice cubes and add grapefruit and lemon slices
- Pour in chilled tea
- Garnish with stick of lemongrass and thyme
