If you never thought you would get excited about housework, then you haven’t seen the new cordless handheld vac from Dyson. It’s called the DC34 and for once a brand is thinking about us girls because it comes in fuschia pink!
Dyson have worked hard to give you the highest suction and cleaning ability around, it is powered by their digital motor which is “the fastest, highest power density motor ever developed for domestic appliances”.
There are two power modes – normal which lasts for up to 15 minutes of constant cleaning, or max which lasts for up to 6 minutes. This is a powerful little handheld which will make all those jobs inside and outside the home quick and easy and it only takes 3.5 hours to recharge.
I feel like this is made for my hand, it is lightweight and my fingers fit neatly around the handle. This is my new favourite toy and I say toy because it makes dusting and cleaning those little spots much more fun!
The uses are endless, the Dyson DC34 Handheld Vacuum can be used for touch ups around the house when you don’t feel like getting out your regular vacuum, cleaning the car, dusting bench tops and sucking up cobwebs just to name a few.
There are two attachments with the tube suction for cleaning things like skirting boards and window frames, and a brush for removing pet hair from your couch and general vacuuming duties.
One point worth mentioning is how this has been tested, the DC34 has been used by real people and mechanical rigs for over 200 hours. During testing it was dropped, bashed and generally abused, and although I wouldn’t recommend trying any of those things it means you are getting quality that will last even for the roughies amongst you.
The clear bin holds all your dust and when its full you just empty it into your rubbish. You also need to wash the filter after every few uses but maintenance is minimal.
The Dyson DC34 Handheld Vaccuum is a clever little invention and the prettiest, yet toughest handheld vacuum I have ever seen and I have found the quality to be superior to cheaper versions.
If you aren’t a pink girl, it also comes in a DC34 Animal which is platinum silver (with a motorised brush bar head for pet hair pick-up) but fuschia has won me over.
The Dyson DC34 Handheld Vacuum has an RRP of $299. The DC34 Animal is slightly more at $349.00
The new DC34 range is available in most small appliance stores Australia wide, particularly Harvey Norman (1300 464 278), Domayne (1300 464 296), Bing Lee and Good Guys.
