Fitbit Zip Wireless Activity Tracker

Every year many of us have the same new year’s resolution – to lose weight and lead a healthier lifestyle. This time you may just be able to keep that goal with the help of a teeny tiny friend, the Fitbit Zip Wireless Activity Tracker.

This is like a pedometer, but a much cuter, smarter version. It not only tracks your steps but the distance you travel and the calories you burn. It synchronizes those important stats automatically to your computer (and some smart phones) just by standing close enough to it.

The Fitbit is compact and a simple, wireless design which means all you need to do is pop it on in the morning and it does the rest. The online tracking is free and you can customise it with your weight and other important weightloss details. You set yourself goals and there are badges to be earned.

A good base is starting with 10000 steps per day, personally I thought this would be a lot easier to achieve than what it actually is!

Unlike your regular pedometer, you clip this somewhere near your torso. I clip mine to my top because having it visible gives me extra motivation to step it out.

There are no buttons, it uses a tap screen and among the different views you will find steps, the time and calories.

There are four colours to choose from with magenta, lime, blue and charcoal, and this is more like a friendly accessory than a boring workout tool. Rain, splash, and sweat-proof!

The Fitbit Wireless Activity Tracker is a good way to find out where you are at, increase your fitness and set yourself realistic goals. Don’t forget to try the BetterMe Fitness App to keep your body in shape!

  1. What a great idea it would definitely take a lot of the pain out if trying to keep track of the figures when trying to lose weight. I like to walk but can never accurately calculate distance or calories burned

  2. Ahh yes, the perfect gift for mum, my sister and maybe I’ll even get one for me. We could all lose a bit of winter comfort and get back to summer style. Why not do it with a helping counter and track progress!!

  3. Great product. I remember using a pedometer the first time and walked for just over an hour and still didn’t make 10000 steps. Then I learnt to just keep it on all day and then check at night.
This one looks more interesting – and pink – my fav colour.

  4. I agree with all of these comments. I have a sports tracker app on my phone which I use when I go for a walk but haven’t found a step counting app that I like.
This product ticks all the boxes and the colour is to die for. I too am in love.
