A morning tea with Mum is a fabulous way to celebrate Mother’s Day. A cuppa, some delicious finger foods and wonderful company. This year why not make that cuppa a little more delightful, a little less ordinary and a lot more delectable.
Try out the Blackcurrant and Fruit Tea for something a little extraordinary.
1/2 cup Barker’s Blackcurrant Fruit Syrup
2 English Breakfast tea bags or 1 tbsp tea leaves
4 cups boiling water
1/2 cup sliced fresh fruit and/or whole berries
Simply place all ingredients in a teapot or heatproof jug.
Strain to serve.
Tips and serving suggestions:
Also great with Barker’s Blackcurrant & Boysenberry, Cranberry or Raspberry Fruit Syrups.
Replace Barker’s Blackcurrant Fruit Syrup with Barker’s Lemon & Barley Fruit Syrup, use Earl Grey tea and add 1Tbsp fresh grated ginger.
For a low calorie alternative, try Barker’s Lite Squeezed NZ Blackcurrants.
Simply use 1/2 cup of Barker’s Fruit Syrup instead of milk in your regular cup of tea.

My blurb went missing… so now I have to bring you a new one. One that is a little broader too.
I devour books, vampires and supernatural creatures are my genre of choice but over the past couple of years I have broadened my horizons considerably.
I inhale music, hair metal that satisfies my inner bogan is where my musical passion lies, but again I’ve been exposed to lots of different music I wouldn’t normally listen to and have broadened those horizons also.
In a nutshell – I love to write! I love interacting with a diverse range of artists to bring you interviews.
Perhaps we were perfect before – I LOVE WORDS! Reading, writing, speaking, listening – if it’s got words I’m there!
