Recipe: Tick Tock Tea Rooibos Green & Watermelon Smoothie

May 5, 2016 by lace 1 Comment

Refreshing and virtuous – drink without moderation!

Ingredients

The quantities below make one smoothie – multiply as necessary.

  • 1 bag of Tick Tock Organic Rooibos Green Tea
  • Wedge of watermelon
  • A couple of sage leaves (can also use mint leaves)
  • A few ice cubes
  • Lime

Method

Brew one tea bag of Tick Tock Organic Rooibos Green Tea in a mug for approx. 4 minutes. Remove the bag then let the tea cool at room temperature before placing in the fridge to chill (where it will keep for up to 24 hours, should you wish to make in advance).

Remove the seeds from the watermelon then blend until liquid and smooth.
In a serving glass crush a few sage leaves to release the flavour. Add equal parts watermelon and tea and stir well. Add a few ice cubes, a generous squeeze of lime, and garnish with sage leaves.

Tick Tock Tea’s Original Rooibos and Organic Green Rooibos blends are available nationally in Woolworths stores [RRP $4.99].
