Byron Bay Cookies – European Flavours

I have a mouthwatering post for you today! The lovely people from Byron Bay Cookies recently sent me a box of delicious cookies from their UK production centre. When I mentioned this on Twitter a few people picked up that it was an Australian company – it is, but they make a range in the UK for their European customers. (That’s less travelling for the cookies and fresher ingredients!)

Some of the flavours are slightly different to suit our overseas friends, but equally delicious – and here are a few of my favourites from my taste testing session. They also have gluten free options for many of their popular flavours…

Strawberries and Clotted Cream

Triple Choc Fudge are deliciously rich, and as yummy as they were – I could only eat half a cookie at a time! These have won “The Best Approved Snack” at the Vegetarian Society Awards. They have everything a chocolate lover could ask for with pieces of fudge, dark chocolate and white chocolate – in a dark chocolate cookie.

I was really interested to try the Strawberries and Clotted Cream Variety, as they sounded different to anything I have had before. I’m not normally adventurous when it comes to food, but I’ll make an exception when it comes to cookies. I would almost prefer these over the Triple Choc Fudge, just because they aren’t as decadent. Strawberries, white choc chunks and clotted cream can be found in these cookies.

Cranberry and White Choc Chunk were another completely new flavour for me, and they tasted just right for winter with a nice hot cup of tea. The name gives the ingredients away but just in case you need more convincing these contain cranberry and white chocolate chunks.

Then there is Dotty! I only got to have a few bites of these because my son claimed them as his own. His logic is that if it has coloured chocolate buttons it must be his! Even though they are kid friendly, I think adults would enjoy them equally as much – they are definitely not a child only flavour. If I was going to choose a box to purchase these would be my pick, mainly because they are something the whole family can share.

Thank you to Byron Bay Cookies – anyone who sends me cookies will have a friend for life.
