Bakers Delight has over 600 bakeries across the country and they bake a delicious range of both savoury and sweet products perfect for every occasion and every taste. Anytime I visit my local Bakers Delight I find it very difficult to make a decision. For the next three weeks that will not be a problem.
For three weeks only, beginning Thursday May 15th, the afternoon tea range of Bakers Delight scones will be extended to include two delicious varieties of orange scones.
It may be the afternoon tea range but I like to think of myself as a little rebellious so I can tell you from experience that they are also fabulous for an extremely early morning tea. To be completely honest I think these would be a taste buds delight anytime of the day or night, and a perfect accompaniment to tea or coffee.
There are two delicious flavours in the range: Orange Choc and Orange Poppy scones. They will be baked fresh and from scratch daily in Bakers Delight bakeries across the country (and I will be sadly thankful that I can’t get to a Bakers Delight bakery daily).
These delicious additions to the range are for a very limited time, three weeks only, so if you feel the need to justify your treats that is definitely justification enough. You have to go in and try them now because if you don’t you might miss out on this flavour sensation.
Having said that, there is no need for justifications because we all deserve to take back the tea break and treat ourselves to a quiet cuppa and a snack. Bakers Delight Orange scones are the perfect snack to do just that.
Orange Choc Scones are, of course, the first ones I tried. A zesty orange scone filled with choc chips and topped with chocolate icing.
Orange Poppy Scones are traditional in their simplicity and topped with cream cheese icing to give them that something extra.
The texture of both these scones is quite light. In my experience scones have been quite dense and need to be buttered, and preferably heated. Not so with the Bakers Delight Orange Scones, they are perfection exactly as they are. I found the Orange Choc to be quite sweet, due to the choc icing and all the chocolate chips, but still extremely delicious. The Orange Poppy with cream cheese icing was not as sweet, still as delicious.
Race in to your local Bakers Delight now because these sensational scones are only around for a very limited three week period beginning Thursday May 15th.
I would like to thank the lovely staff at Bakers Delight Murray Bridge for my scrumptious snacks today. They are one of my local stores with very friendly staff and I am always happy with a purchase from them. Head in and see them today.

My blurb went missing… so now I have to bring you a new one. One that is a little broader too.
I devour books, vampires and supernatural creatures are my genre of choice but over the past couple of years I have broadened my horizons considerably.
I inhale music, hair metal that satisfies my inner bogan is where my musical passion lies, but again I’ve been exposed to lots of different music I wouldn’t normally listen to and have broadened those horizons also.
In a nutshell – I love to write! I love interacting with a diverse range of artists to bring you interviews.
Perhaps we were perfect before – I LOVE WORDS! Reading, writing, speaking, listening – if it’s got words I’m there!
