My recipe collection is forever growing, and it becomes more and more difficult to find what I am looking for. With recipe books and ripped out cooking ideas from magazines all stacked in a draw, it is uninspiring and messy.
This month, I went on a mission to find ways to conveniently store my recipes and decided to share a few of my favourite ideas with our readers.
Cath Kidston Recipe Organizer
If you are feeling uncreative but still want something gorgeous to display your recipes in, the Cath Kidson Recipe Organizer is for you. With its country strawberry design it will brighten up any kitchen and put the joy back in cooking.
Description:
Creating a custom recipe book has never been easier! This sturdy and stylish three-ring binder is neatly organized course-by-course, with space to write cherished recipes, and store magazine clippings and Internet printouts. Featuring ample pockets for extra storage, as well as handy tear-out shopping lists, and a variety of helpful cooking charts, the Cath Kidston Recipe Organizer is an all-in-one source for kitchen inspiration.
Folders
Another idea that I like is purchasing a folder and adding plastic sheets for each recipe. This is a good idea for a messy chef (and messy is fun!) as you can easily wipe away any food splatters. Using tabbed dividers, you can sort recipes by occasion, course (entrée, mains, desserts), ingredients (beef, lamb, vegetarian etc) or alphabetically. Go to as much or as little detail as you want. For even more organization you can try typing up your favourite recipes so they all look the same.
If you choose a folder with a plastic covering you can insert a cover of your choice, this will also protect the outside of your recipe book.
Photo Albums
Another great idea, similar to a recipe folder, is purchasing a gorgeous photo album and storing each recipe in a plastic sheet. Easy to flick through and locate what you are looking for!

Magazine files
Magazine files can also be useful for storing recipes. If choosing this option I have found printing recipes on card makes it easier to sort through.
